Frequently Asked Questions

1. What will I pay for shipping and handling?
For orders in the Tri-state area (NY,NJ,CT) your shipping charge will be 15% of your subtotal. In other areas of the US, it will be 20%.  There is a minimum of $9.75 for the shipping charge. There is also an option of local delivery in Lakewood, NJ for $7. If you come pick up your order, there is no charge.
2. What do I get when I order your product?
All kits come with easy-to-follow instructions, and diagrams to aid assembly where necessary. All orders are packaged in bulk. Paint, glue, brushes, and Mod Podge for finishing any raw wood parts can be purchased separately. Instructions will specify which basic household supplies will be needed, such as scissors, pencils and rulers. Feel free to ask us if you would like to know this information in advance.
3. Is there a minimum quantity that I must purchase?
Yes, minimum quantity for most items is 12. Quantities must be in increments of 6. There is a 5% discount for quantities over 50. All orders are packaged in bulk.
4. What is your return policy?
Please contact us at (732) 363-4077 or 1-877-4-KITS-4-U within 7 days of merchandise receipt for return instructions and credit processing. Customer is responsible for the cost of return freight charges. Return orders are subject to restocking fees.
5. How are items shipped?
All items are shipped ground unless requested otherwise. We can send you shipping notification with your tracking number upon request.
6. Will I pay sales tax?
NJ residents will have 7% sales tax automatically added to their bill. If you are ordering from a tax-exempt institution, submit your tax-exempt ID prior to ordering and we will remove the tax.

7. Which projects require paint? Do some have optional painting?
Under each project details, you can see if it requires paint or not. Some projects are listed as "Optional" with a note for the non-paint option to call or see this FAQ section.

The way the optional painting works is that for a small additional charge, these project kits can get a paper or foam shape for covering the wood. If you are interested in this, please give us a call.
8. Do you do custom orders?
Yes, we do! We will be glad to create a new craft customized to your theme. There may be a minimum order required.
9. Can I get on your mailing list?
